FOURTH INDIVIDUAL FACES CHARGES IN RELATION TO SEARCH WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kevin Kircoff-Hill, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 8, 2026, and charged with the following:

  • Three counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Breach of firearms regulation – store firearm or restricted weapon
  • Two counts of knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine

On Sept. 3, 2026, the Cornwall Police Service, led by members of the Cornwall Emergency Response Team (CERT), executed multiple search warrants in the area of Walton Street and St. Felix Street.

The ongoing investigation is a collaborative effort involving members of the CPS Street Crime Unit (SCU) and Criminal Investigation Division (CID), as well as the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit (PWEU) and Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).

As a result of the search warrants, three individuals were arrested on Sept. 3, 2026.

During the execution of the search warrants, officers seized quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine, as well as a loaded handgun, pellet gun, brass knuckles and knives. Police also seized packaging materials and scales consistent with drug trafficking, a large sum of Canadian currency and a significant collection of jewelry.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On Sept. 8, 2026, he was located at the Cornwall Courthouse. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 8, 2026, and charged with mischief – destroys or damages property. It is alleged that in the early morning hours of Sept. 4, 2026, the man spray-painted graffiti on the dumpster, shed and parking lot of a Second Street East business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On Sept. 8, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 20, 2026.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 71 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
