FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, CARRYING CONCEALED WEAPON, CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT INDICTABLE OFFENCE, DISGUISE WITH INTENT, POINTING A FIREARM, ROBBERY USING FIREARM, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT

Cornwall, ON – Daniel Lalonde, 34, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 30, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Four counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Two counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Four counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Two counts of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Two counts of carrying a concealed weapon
  • Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
  • Disguise with intent
  • Firearm – use while committing offence
  • Pointing a firearm
  • Robbery using firearm
  • Forcible confinement
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm

It is alleged on Oct. 16, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess any weapons used to intimidate. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapons used to intimidate. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a weapons prohibition order.

It is alleged on Oct. 14, 2024, the man attended the residence of an individual known to him and robbed the individual while in disguise. It is also alleged on this date, the man concealed and pointed a firearm at the individual, while confining the man to his residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

Furthermore, it is alleged on Oct. 30, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess any weapons used to intimidate. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapons used to intimidate.

On Oct. 30, 2024, the male was located by a member of the CPS who was on general patrol, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed he was in possession of an edged weapon.

The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, THEFT

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 30, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Domestic assault
  • Domestic mischief
  • Theft under $5,000

It is alleged on Oct. 25, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man assaulted his girlfriend, damaged her property and stole from the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Oct. 30, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
