WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Sheldon Berger-McIntosh, 21, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 28, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on July 27, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Oct. 28, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Dec. 3, 2024.

FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – Emilie Martin, 29, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 28, 2024, and charged with fail to attend court appearance. It is alleged on Oct. 22, 2024, the woman was scheduled to appear court and failed to do so. On Oct. 28, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with a separate matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 3, 2024.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kevin Parent, 65, of Ottawa, was arrested on Oct. 28, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 28, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Oct. 28, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Dec. 3, 2024.  

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Oct. 28, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged from Oct. 13, 2024, to Oct. 28, 2024, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with her ex-husband. It is also alleged from Oct. 13, 2024, to Oct. 28, 2024, the woman was in communication with her ex-husband. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Later on Oct. 28, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 12, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, UTTERING THREATS, INTIMIDATION

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 28, 2024, and charged with the following:

• Six counts of fail to comply with probation order
• Assault with a weapon
• Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
• Intimidation – use or threatens use of violence

It is alleged on Oct. 28, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess any weapons. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a third probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to refrain from possessing any weapons. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his father with a weapon and threatened to kill his family members if police were called. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victims in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Albert Kiza, 34, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 29, 2024, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On Oct. 29, 2024, a member of the CPS conducted a traffic stop in the area of Second Street West and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Nov. 19, 2024.

There were 52 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today). CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
