ASSAULT, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Oct. 11, 2024, and charged with the following:
- Assault
- Criminal harassment – repeatedly follow, repeatedly communicate with, watch and beset, threatening contact
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
It is alleged on Oct. 9, 2024, the youth assaulted an individual known to him at school. It is also alleged on this date, the youth chased the individual and threatened to beat him up. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Oct. 11, 2024, the youth was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Michel Lecompte, 66, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 11, 2024, and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Oct. 9, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged on Oct. 11, 2024, the man once again attended the Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. On Oct. 11, 2024, police attended the business to investigate the first incident and located the individual when the second offense allegedly occurred. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 14, 2024.
FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT
Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Oct. 11, 2024, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Three counts of fail to comply with undertaking
- Theft under $5,000
It is alleged on Oct. 11, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not associate or communicate with her ex-boyfriend, to not attend or be within 50 metres of her ex-boyfriend’s place of residence, employment or any place they may be and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the woman was in communication with her ex-boyfriend and stole his wallet. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Oct. 11, 2024, the woman was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
DISTURBANCE, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – Sarahrose Osbak, 42, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 11, 2024, and charged with causing a disturbance and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Oct. 11, 2024, the woman caused a disturbance at a place of transportation. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located by police, and it is also alleged she made threats to kill a member of the CPS. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 14, 2024.
FAIL TO COMPLY, HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 12, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate. It is alleged, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not communicate with his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged, the man repeatedly messages his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Oct. 12, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Lauzon, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 12, 2024, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft of motor vehicle. It is alleged on Oct. 12, 2024, the man was bound by three separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man stole and operated a construction vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Nov. 14, 2024.
UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Oct. 12, 2024, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic. On Oct. 12, 2024, police responded to a domestic dispute and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman threatened to assault her ex-husband. The woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 12, 2024. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Chloe Lecavalier-Lavigne, 31, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 12, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Oct. 12, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Nov. 14, 2024.

Cornwall, ON – Tina Benedict, 60, of Akwesasne, was arrested on Oct. 12, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking and fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Oct. 12, 2024, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not attend a Ninth Street East business. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the woman attended the Ninth Street East business she was prohibited from attending. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Nov. 14, 2024.

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Oct. 12, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Sept. 1, 2024, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not communicate with her ex-boyfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place her ex-boyfriend is known to live, work or frequent. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended her ex-boyfriend’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Oct. 12, 2024, the woman was located by police, who were dealing with a separate matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Jordy Mitchell, 29, of Hogansburg, NY, was arrested on Oct. 13, 2024, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On Oct. 13, 2024, police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Cumberland Street and Eleventh Street West and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Nov. 5, 2024.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Michael Denneny, 44, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 13, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Sept. 10, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Oct. 13, 2024, the man was located by a member of the CPS who was on general patrol. The warrant was executed and the man was held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Thomson, 40, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 14, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order and fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Oct. 14, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On Oct. 14, 2024, police responded to a disturbance at a Thirteenth Street West establishment and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 14, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Oct. 14, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not communicate with his mother and to not attend her residence. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended his mother’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 19, 2024. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

- Fail to comply with release order
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate
It is alleged, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not contact or communicate with his girlfriend. It is also alleged, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Furthermore, it is alleged, the man repeatedly communicated with his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Oct. 14, 2024, police responded to a disturbance complaint and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 14, 2024, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Domestic assault
- Domestic mischief
It is alleged on Oct. 14, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man punched his girlfriend and damaged property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was later located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
