WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Michael Masson, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 4, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with the following:

  • 16 counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • 14 counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Nine counts of theft under $5,000
  • Fail to attend

It is alleged on June 1, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged on Aug. 22, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

It is alleged on Aug. 25, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not be within 50 metres of a specific individual’s residence, place of work or anywhere they may frequent and to not attend a specific Ninth Street West business. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended the business he was prohibited from attending, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not be within 50 metres of a specific individual’s residence, place of work or anywhere they may frequent and to not attend a specific Ninth Street West business. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended the business he was prohibited from attending, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. 

It is alleged on Oct. 17, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate in any way either directly or indirectly with a specific individual, to not be within 50 metres of a specific individual’s residence, place of work or anywhere they may frequent and to not attend a specific Ninth Street West business. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended the business he was prohibited from attending, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not attend a specific Ninth Street West business. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended the business he was prohibited from attending, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged on Nov. 3, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not be within 50 metres of a specific individual’s residence, place of work or anywhere they may frequent and to not attend a specific Ninth Street West business. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended the business he was prohibited from attending, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. 

On Nov. 4, 2024, police responded to a breach of probation call at a Ninth Street West business and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The warrant was also executed and the man was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Kayla Harps, 34, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 4, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

  • Three counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Two counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Theft under $5,000

It is alleged on Aug. 1, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to report to the bail supervision program and to reside at an address approved by the bail supervision program. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the woman failed to report to the bail supervision program. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

It is alleged between May 22, 2024, and Aug. 12, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report in person to a probation officer. She failed to do so and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

It is alleged on Nov. 4, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended a Pitt Street establishment and stole envelopes containing money. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On Nov. 4, 2024, the woman was located by police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and the warrants were executed. The woman was held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Kevin Tessier, 46, and Kayla Kirkey, 35, both of Cornwall, were arrested on Nov. 4, 2024, and each charged with five counts of theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Oct. 6, 2024, Oct. 19, 2024, twice on Oct. 21, 2024, and on Oct. 22, 2024, the individuals attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 4, 2024, the individuals attended police headquarters to address the matter. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly and each released to appear in court on Dec. 12, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Smiths Falls woman was arrested on Nov. 4, 2024, and charged with five counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on July 26, 2024, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact her boyfriend, to not be within 25 metres of any place she knows her boyfriend to be and to not attend within 25 metres of her boyfriend. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a separate release order with the relevant conditions to not communicate with her boyfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place she knows her boyfriend to live or work. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the woman attended her boyfriend’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 4, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.
