UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Alexander Cecereu, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 22, 2024, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. On Nov. 22, 2024, police responded to a neighbour dispute and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Oct. 13, 2024, the man threatened to kill an individual known to him. On Nov. 22, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 31, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Mohammed Chughtai, 29, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 22, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking and two counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Nov. 20, 2024, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not attend a Ninth Street East business. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man attended the Ninth Street East business he was prohibited from visiting. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 22, 2024, the man was located by police, who were dealing with a separate matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 31, 2024.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Vincent Norris-Pelletier, 21, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 22, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 14, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 22, 2024, the man was located by police, who were dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2025.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Ryan Grignon-Paquette, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 22, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on July 25, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 22, 2024, the man was located by police, who were dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2025.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Celine Cormier, 53, of Glen Walter, was arrested on Nov. 23, 2024, and charged with assault. It is alleged on Nov. 20, 2024, the woman assaulted another female. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 23, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 31, 2024.

OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED

Cornwall, ON – Kevin Harquail, 49, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 23, 2024, and charged with operation while prohibited. On Nov. 23, 2024, a member of the CPS conducted a traffic stop in the area of McConnell Avenue and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly operating his motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s licence. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 25, 2025.

BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – A 59-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 24, 2024, and charged with break and enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence. It is alleged on Nov. 17, 2024, the man broke into his son’s garage. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 24, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 31, 2024. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

WARRANTS, FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT

Cornwall, ON – Aimee Parry, 39, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 24, 2024, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with the following:

  • Four counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Two counts of fail to comply with appearance notice
  • Theft under $5,000

It is alleged on April 29, 2024, the woman was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

It is alleged on June 16, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she stole an item from an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged on Oct. 1, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

On Nov. 24, 2024, the woman was located by police, who were on general patrol. The warrant was executed and she was charged accordingly. The woman was held for a bail hearing.

There were 164 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the weekend (8 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. today). CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
