FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 14, 2024, and charged with four counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Nov. 14, 2024, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not associate or communicate with his ex-girlfriend, to not attend or be within 50 metres of his ex-girlfriend’s person, place of residence, employment or any place she may be, to not associate or communicate with his ex-girlfriend’s children and to not attend or be within 50 metres of his ex-girlfriend’s children’s person, place of residence, education or any place they may be. On Nov. 14, 2024, police responded to a domestic dispute and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, where he was in the presence of his ex-girlfriend and her children. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victims in the matter.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old North Augusta, ON, man was arrested on Nov. 14, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Nov. 7, 2024, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with is ex-spouse and to not go within 100 metres of her person or any place she may be. It is also alleged on this date, the man was in communication with his ex-spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 14, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – James White, 73, of Akwesasne was arrested on Nov. 14, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 17, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 14, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.  

WARRANT, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, CARRYING CONCEALED WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Shannon Pollard-Hilton, 46, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 14, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and also charged with possession of weapon for dangerous purpose and carrying a concealed weapon. It is alleged on Sept. 19, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Nov. 14, 2024, the woman was located by police. It is also alleged on this date, she was in possession of an edged weapon. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF FIREARM CONTRARY TO PROHIBITION ORDER, CARRYING CONCEALED WEAPON, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Andy Courville, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 14, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Six counts of possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Carrying concealed weapon
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon

It is alleged on Nov. 14, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess any weapons. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by three separate weapons prohibition orders. On Nov. 14, 2024, police located the man while dealing with a separate matter. Furthermore, it is alleged, he was in possession of several edged weapons. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO APPEAR

Cornwall, ON – Michael Johnston, 56, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 14, 2024, and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and one count of fail to comply with appearance notice. It is alleged on Oct. 21, 2024, the man attended a Brookdale Avenue business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. It is also alleged on Oct. 22, 2024, the man attended the same Brookdale Avenue business, selected merchandise and once again left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Furthermore, it is alleged, on Oct. 24, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. On Nov. 14, 2024, the man attended CPS to address the matters. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 17, 2024.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Regina, SK, man was arrested on Nov. 14, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with three counts of fail to comply with release order and one count of criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate. It is alleged on Dec. 23, 2023, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not communicate with his ex-spouse. It is also alleged on this date, the man communicated with his ex-spouse on two separate occasions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest. Furthermore, it is alleged on Aug. 17, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not contact his ex-spouse. It is also alleged on this date, the man harassed his ex-spouse, sending multiple messages to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 14, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matters. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.  

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Jason Gougeon, 44, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 14, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Oct. 22, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside with a surety at a specific address and to notify of any change of address. It is also alleged on this date, the man wasn’t residing at the specific residence he was supposed to live at and failed to notify of a change of address. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 14, 2024, police located the man while dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 15, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Nov. 15, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate with his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place his ex-girlfriend lives, works or frequents. On Nov. 15, 2024, police responded to a 911 hang-up call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was in contact with his ex-girlfriend. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kyle Morrow, 40, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 15, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 14, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 15, 2024, the man was located by police who were dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Lauzon, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 15, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 14, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 15, 2024, police responded to an unwanted person call and an investigation ensued. The man was located, the warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Nov. 15, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Three counts of assault
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

It is alleged on Oct. 24, 2024, the youth was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to not contact a specific individual. It is also alleged on this date, the youth sent messages to the individual she was prohibited from communicating with. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

Furthermore, it is alleged on Nov. 4, 2024, the youth spat on a social worker on two separate occasions and also threatened to cause bodily harm to the individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

Finally, it is alleged on Nov. 7, 2024, the youth spat on another social worker. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On Nov. 15, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matters. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Kirbie Lazore, 34, of St. Regis, QC, was arrested on Nov. 15, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Oct. 31, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Nov. 15, 2024, the woman was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Dec. 31, 2024.

SEXUAL ASSAULT UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE, SEXUAL INTERFERENCE, INVITATION TO SEXUAL TOUCHING, MAKE SEXUALLY EXPLICIT MATERIAL AVAILABLE

Cornwall, ON – A 66-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 15, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age
  • Two counts of sexual interference
  • Four counts of invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age
  • Make sexually explicit material available to a person under 16 years of age

It is alleged from 2018 to January 2023, the man sexually assaulted and sexually interfered with his step-granddaughter. It is also alleged from 2018 to January 2023, the man invited his step-granddaughter to sexual touching and watched sexually explicit videos with her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 15, 2024, the man was taken into custody by a member of the Criminal Investigation Division. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 31, 2024. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman, both of South Glengarry, were arrested on Nov. 15, 2024, and each charged with criminal harassment – repeatedly follow, repeatedly communicate with, watch and beset, threatening conduct in addition to mischief under $5,000. On Nov. 14, 2024, police responded to a family dispute and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man and woman attended a woman’s property after being cautioned to not attend, and damaged her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 15, 2024, the individuals attended police headquarters to address the matter. They were both taken into custody, charged accordingly and each released to appear in court on Dec. 17, 2024. Their names were not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE, FAIL TO STOP AFTER ACCIDENT

Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Nov. 15, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Theft of motor vehicle
  • Fail to stop after accident

It is alleged on Nov. 15, 2024, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not attend a specific residence. On Nov. 15, 2024, police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Alice Street and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth stole the motor vehicle of an individual known to him and crashed the vehicle into the residence he was prohibited from attending. It is also alleged, the youth fled the scene after the accident. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Dayton Sheney, 24, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 16, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 14, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 16, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Dec. 17, 2024.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

There were 225 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last four days (8 a.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. today). CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
