DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 12, 2024, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on Nov. 11, 2024, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 12, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Madison Fortier-Poirier, 21, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 12, 2024, and charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Nov. 11, 2024, the woman threatened to kill two individuals known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Dec. 12, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 17, 2024.

HARASSING COMMUNICATIONS

Cornwall, ON – A 54-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 12, 2024, and charged with harassing communications. It is alleged on Nov. 7, 2024, and Nov. 8, 2024, the man sent harassing messages to his ex-spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 12, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 3, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.  

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Elizabeth Allikas, 27, of Ingleside, was arrested on Nov. 12, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Nov. 12, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Dec. 17, 2024.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Maryam Fisher-Nasr, 19, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 13, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 4, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Nov. 13, 2024, the woman was located by police who were dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.

There were 38 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today). CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
