WARRANT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – Timothy Reid, 52, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 31, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with mischief. It is alleged on May 31, 2023, the man damaged his neighbour’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest. On Oct. 31, 2024, he was located by police, the warrant was executed and the man was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Mohammed Chughtai, 29, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 31, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and two counts of theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Oct. 28, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on Oct. 28, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street East business on two separate occasions, selected merchandise both times and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Oct. 31, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 3, 2024.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Eric Perkins, 36, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 31, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with four counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged from Oct. 8, 2024, to Oct. 11, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence daily from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. It is also alleged from Oct. 8, 2024, to Oct. 11, 2024, the man breached his curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for the man’s arrest. On Oct. 31, 2024, police responded to an unwanted person call at a Pitt Street establishment and an investigation ensued. The man was located, the warrant was executed and he was charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.  

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Drake McAllister, 19, of Cornwall, was arrested on Nov. 1, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Nov. 1, 2024, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to notify the CPS in writing of any change of address and to reside at a specific residence and be at that residence between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. It is also alleged on this date, the man was observed by police who were on general patrol. It is alleged the man breached his curfew and provided police with a new address. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2025.

There were 66 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today). CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
