SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 6, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000 and failing to comply with a probation order.

It is alleged that on March 9, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged that on this date, she attended a Ninth Street retail store, selected merchandise and left the store without attempting to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On May 6, 2026, the woman was in police custody for an unrelated matter. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 6, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants.

It is alleged that on Oct. 10, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not contact his father or attend within a specified distance of him. It is further alleged that on this date, the man attempted to contact his father and attended his residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.

Furthermore, it is alleged that on Oct. 12, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, as well as an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not contact or attend the residence of a specific individual. It is alleged that on this date, the man attended the individual’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for one count of failing to comply with a probation order and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.

On May 6, 2026, the man was in police custody for an unrelated matter. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 6, 2026, and charged with assault with a weapon.

It is alleged that on May 6, 2026, the woman struck her boyfriend with a towel. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on May 26, 2026.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 6, 2026, and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that on March 5, 2026, the man attended a Ninth Street grocery store, selected merchandise and left without attempting to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

Furthermore, it is alleged that on March 9, 2026, the man attended a Second Street grocery store, selected merchandise and left without attempting to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On May 6, 2026, the man was located during an unrelated occurrence, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 18, 2026.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 6, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that on April 17, 2026, the man attended a Second Street retail store, selected merchandise and left without attempting to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On May 6, 2026, the man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 18, 2026.
