FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 14, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant.

On May 5, 2026, Cornwall Police Service officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged he assaulted and choked his spouse. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Domestic assault
  • Assault causing bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle

On May 14, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 14, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged between Nov. 3, 2025, and April 29, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to report in person to a probation officer and to attend and actively participate in all assessment, counselling or rehabilitative programs as directed by the probation officer. It is further alleged he failed to report to the probation order. A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest on the charges of two counts of fail to comply with probation order. On May 14, 2026, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and the man was later released to appear in court on June 18, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 14, 2026, and charged with six counts of fail to comply with release order. On March 26, 2026, police were dispatched to a disturbance complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate in any way with his girlfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place he knows her to live, work or frequent. He was also bound by a second release order with the relevant conditions to not be or go to his girlfriend’s address, to not communicate with the woman, to not be in her physical presence and to not harass, bother, follow or spy on her. It is further alleged the man was in contact and communication with his girlfriend. As a result of the investigation, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On May 14, 2026, the man was located by police at the courthouse. He was charged accordingly and returned to cells to await a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on May 14, 2026, and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). On May 14, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an impaired operation complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police and the investigation revealed he was allegedly operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 4, 2026.
