FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 17, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on March 14, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not contact his ex-girlfriend. On this date, members of the Cornwall Police Service responded to a domestic bail violation call, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man had been communicating with his ex-girlfriend via electronic messages. On March 17, 2025, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Williamstown youth was arrested on March 17, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on March 8, 2025, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific individual. It is also alleged on this date, the youth was in contact with the individual she is prohibited from communicating with. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 17, 2025, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 17, 2025, and charged with three counts of theft under $5,000 and once count of fail to comply with undertaking.

It is alleged on Jan. 24, 2025, the man attended a Boundary Road gas station, put fuel in his vehicle and left without paying for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is also alleged on Jan. 26, 2025, the man attended a Thirteenth Street West gas station, put fuel in his vehicle and left without paying for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged on Jan. 27, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not attend a Ninth Street West business. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended the business he was prohibited from visiting, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On March 17, 2025, the man was located by police at the courthouse. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 17, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on March 6, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 17, 2025, the man attended police headquarters do deal with a separate matter. The warrant was executed, and he was released to appear in court on April 22, 2025.  

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Saint-Lazare, QC, man was arrested on March 17, 2025, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on March 17, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on April 22, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 18, 2025, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with undertaking. On March 18, 2025, police responded to a breach of conditions complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by two separate undertakings, each with the relevant condition to reside at a specific address and be at that residence between specific hours. It is also alleged he was bound by a third undertaking with the relevant condition to be at his residence between specific hours. The investigation revealed the man breached his curfew. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.
