SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL INTERFERENCE

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on March 13, 2025, and charged with sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age and sexual interference. It is alleged on Oct. 27, 2024, the youth had sexual intercourse with an individual under the age of 16. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 13, 2025, the youth attended Cornwall Police Service headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Moose Creek man was arrested on March 14, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Feb. 25, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On March 14, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, and he was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 63-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 14, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on March 10, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS once per week. It is also alleged on this date, the man failed to report to police. On March 14, 2025, he was located by a member of the CPS. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 17, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 14, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Feb. 22, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not communicate by any physical or electronic means with his ex-spouse. It is alleged on this date, the man messaged his ex-spouse on numerous occasions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On March 14, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 15, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Stratford, ON, woman was arrested on March 14, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on March 14, 2025, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not attend a specific address. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended the address she was prohibited from visiting. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, USE OF CREDIT CARD, FAIL TO ATTEND, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, THEFT

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 14, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Four counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Use of credit card
  • Fail to attend for fingerprints as per undertaking
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Theft under $5,000

It is alleged on Feb. 21, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended a Vincent Massey Drive business and attempted to use a stolen credit card. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged on Feb. 24, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so.

On March 10, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a disturb the peace complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she assaulted an individual known to her with an edged weapon.

It is alleged on March 13, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended a Second Street East business and stole a charity/donation box. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On March 15, 2025, the woman was located by a CPS officer who was on general patrol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – On March 15, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a domestic dispute and an investigation ensued. As a result, two individuals were arrested.

A 24-year-old Cornwall woman was charged with domestic mischief. It is alleged on March 15, 2025, the woman damaged her ex-girlfriend’s property. She was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly.

Meanwhile, a 26-year-old Cornwall woman was charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on March 15, 2025, the woman assaulted her ex-girlfriend. She was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly.

The individuals were each released to appear in court on April 1, 2025.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, FAIL TO ATTEND, ROBBERY

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 15, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Fail to attend for fingerprints
  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Fail to comply with undertaking
  • Robbery

It is alleged on Oct. 21, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

It is alleged on Jan. 30, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain on her property during specific hours. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to remain in her residence during specific hours. Finally, it is alleged on Jan. 30, 2025, the woman robbed a Montreal Road business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On March 15, 2025, a member of the CPS conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, the warrant was executed, and she was charged accordingly.

The woman was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS, SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 16, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with four counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting and two counts of fail to attend court.

It is alleged on Sept. 10, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest.

Furthermore, it is alleged on Oct. 31, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

Finally, it is alleged on Feb. 10, 2025, the woman attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On March 16, 2025, the woman was located by a CPS officer who was on general patrol. The warrants were executed, she was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on March 16, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and domestic assault. It is alleged on March 16, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman assaulted her spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING, OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 16, 2025, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting and obstruct peace officer. It is alleged on March 16, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located and, it is alleged, he refused to cooperate with police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on April 17, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 16, 2025, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on March 12, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not have direct contact with his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged on this date, the man was observed by police to be in contact with the woman. Furthermore, it is alleged on March 16, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not be in contact with his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 200 metres of her. On March 16, 2025, the man was located by a member of the CPS who was on general patrol. An investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was in contact with his ex-girlfriend. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 17, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on March 11, 2025, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Vincent Massey Drive business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. On March 17, 2025, a member of the CPS conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. The man was located, the warrant was executed, and he was charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on April 17, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on March 17, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

In the early morning hours of March 17, 2025, a member of the CPS conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on March 17, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times. Further investigation revealed the man was in possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, along with a large sum of cash. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
