HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 29, 2024, and charged with one count of criminal harassment. It is alleged that on February 29th, 2024, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence after being warned previously by police to do so. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

FAIL TO COMPLY, RESIST ARREST

Cornwall, ON – Barbara Cleary, 74, of Cornwall, was arrested on Feb. 29, 2024, and charged with two counts of failing to comply with release order and resist arrest. It is alleged that on Feb. 29, 2024, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not be within 100 meters of a specific individual or attend the establishment where she is employed. On this date, the woman attended the establishment she was prohibited from. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. While being taken into custody, the woman resisted arrest. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
