FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 5, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 30, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend for court – as per undertaking. On June 5, 2026, the man was located by a Cornwall Police Service officer, who was dealing with an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on July 14, 2026.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 5, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on April 12, 2026, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On June 5, 2026, the man was located by police at the courthouse. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
ARSON
Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on June 5, 2026, and charged with arson – damage to property. It is alleged on March 18, 2026, the youth set a structure on fire. Police were contacted an investigation ensued. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On June 4, 2026, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 6, 2026, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with release order and two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on May 31, 2026, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate with his ex-girlfriend, to not be within 100 metres of any place he knows her to live, work or frequent and to not attend her address. He was also bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with his ex-girlfriend and other individuals and to not attend or be within 50 metres of his ex-girlfriend’s place of residence, employment or any other place they may be. It is further alleged on this date, the man was in communication and contact with his ex-girlfriend at her residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. In the early morning hours of June 6, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer, who conducted a traffic stop. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, ON – A 50-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 6, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. On May 15, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to a break and enter complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not contact or communicate with a specific individual. It is further alleged he communicated with the individual he was prohibited from contacting and unlawfully entered his former landlord’s residence, causing damage to the property. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of break and enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence. On June 6, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer, who was on general patrol in the City of Cornwall. The warrant was executed and he was later released to appear in court on July 7, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND, SHOPLIFTING, THEFT
Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on June 6, 2026, on the strength of several outstanding warrants.
It is alleged on June 28, 2025, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, a warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is also alleged on July 10, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend court – as per undertaking.
It is further alleged on July 28, 2025, the woman stole groceries that had been delivered to an individual’s front porch. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, a warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of theft under $5,000.
Finally, it is alleged on Oct. 2, 2025, the woman was once again scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend court after having appeared.
On June 6, 2026, while responding to an unrelated incident, CPS officers located the woman. The warrants were executed and she was held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on June 6, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and also charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order.
It is alleged on March 30, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged she assaulted her boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, a warrant was issued for her arrest on the charges of fail to comply with probation order and domestic assault.
On June 6, 2026, police were dispatched to a disturbance complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not contact or communicate in any way with her boyfriend. It is further alleged she was in contact with her boyfriend. The woman was subsequently located by CPS officers. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on July 14, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 7, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with release order and mischief – destroys or damages property. It is alleged on June 7, 2026, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times. It is further alleged he failed to remain at his residence and damaged an individual’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was subsequently located by CPS officers. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 63-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 7, 2026, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on May 15, 2026, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate directly or indirectly with his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 50 metres of the woman. It is further alleged on this date, the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend at a Second Street East business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On June 7, 2026, CPS officers responded to a bail violations call at the same Second Street East business, and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was later released to appear in court on July 14, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 8, 2026, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. In the early morning hours of June 8, 2026, CPS officers were in the area of the Waterfront Trail conducting beat patrol, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not communicate directly or indirectly with his girlfriend and to not be within 100 metres of the woman. It is further alleged the man was in contact with his girlfriend. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was later released to appear in court on June 30, 2026.
IMPAIRED, REFUSAL
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 8, 2026, and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and failure or refusal to comply with demand. In the early morning hours of June 8, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. While police were conducting an impaired operation investigation, he allegedly refused to comply with the demand to complete a standardized field sobriety test. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on June 30, 2026.
