DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, THEFT

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old man from St-Albert, ON, was arrested on June 22, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant.

In the early morning hours of June 18, 2026, members of the Cornwall Police Service responded to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his girlfriend, damaged her cell phone and stole her purse.

As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of:

  • Domestic assault
  • Domestic mischief
  • Theft under $5,000

On June 22, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was later released to appear in court on July 7, 2026.

UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on June 22, 2026, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. On June 14, 2026, police responded to a threat’s complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman threatened to physically harm an individual known to her. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest. On June 22, 2026, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on July 28, 2026.
