AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 11, 2026, and charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose. On June 11, 2026, Cornwall Police Service officers were dispatched to a disturbance complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man stabbed his brother with a screwdriver. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 53-year-old man from Cornwall as arrested on June 11, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged on March 2, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend for fingerprints – as per undertaking. It is also alleged on March 24, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend for court – as per undertaking. On June 11, 2026, the man was located by police, who were dealing with an unrelated incident. The warrants were executed and he was held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on June 11, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on June 2, 2026, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not contact or communicate in any way with another youth. It is further alleged on this date, the youth communicated with the individual he was prohibited from contacting. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On June 11, 2026, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 11, 2026, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. On June 10, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact or communicate in any way with his ex-spouse and to not be within 150 metres of any place he knows her to live, work or frequent. It is alleged between May 27, 2026, and June 6, 2026, the man was within 150 metres of his ex-spouse’s residence and on June 6, 2026, he communicated with the woman. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On June 11, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 11, 2026, and charged with one count of domestic assault and three counts of mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on March 27, 2026, the man assaulted his spouse and damaged several items in the home, including her CCTV camera, cellphone and walls. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest. On June 11, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on July 7, 2026.
SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 11, 2026, and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting and three counts of fail to comply with probation order.
It is alleged on May 25, 2026, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued – led by a Community Safety Officer. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest.
It is alleged on May 27, 2026, June 3, 2026, and June 10, 2026, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS on a weekly basis. He failed to do so on each of these dates and as a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.
On June 11, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to a Pitt Street business for a shop theft in progress, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man attended the Pitt Street business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. He was subsequently located by CPS officers after fleeing the scene. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, ON – A 63-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 12, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking and break and enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence. It is alleged on June 12, 2026, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not contact his neighbour. It is further alleged on this date, he attempted to break into his neighbour’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located by CPS officers, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.
COMMUNICATE FOR PURPOSE OF OBTAINING SEXUAL SERVICES
Cornwall, ON – A 52-year-old man from East York, ON, was arrested on June 12, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 19, 2025, the man solicited the sexual services of a person. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of communicate with anyone for purpose of obtaining sexual services. On June 12, 2026, the man was taken into custody by members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and he was later released to appear in court on July 28, 2026.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on June 12, 2026, and charged with assault. It is alleged on April 18, 2026, the youth assaulted an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest. On June 12, 2026, the youth was located by a CPS officer, who was dealing with an unrelated incident. She was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.
FAIL TO ATTEND, FAIL TO COMPLY, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 12, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and also charged with four counts of fail to comply with undertaking and one count of criminal harassment – repeatedly follow, repeatedly communicate with, watch and beset, threatening conduct.
It is alleged on Feb. 10, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of failure to attend court after having appeared.
It is alleged on Feb. 24, 2026, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with his ex-girlfriend. It is further alleged on this date, he called the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest.
On April 8, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with his ex-girlfriend, to not go within 100 metres of her residence or anywhere she is known to be and to not go within 100 metres of her residence. It is further alleged on this date, he attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, communicated with her and harassed the woman, causing her to reasonably fear for her safety. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest.
On June 12, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to a trouble with youth complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was subsequently located by police and taken into custody. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, UNLAWFULLY IN DWELLING HOUSE, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on June 13, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Unlawfully in dwelling house
- Criminal harassment – threatening conduct
It is alleged in the early morning hours of June 10, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged she unlawfully entered her ex-boyfriend’s residence and harassed the man and his current girlfriend by engaging in threatening conduct that caused them to reasonably fear for their safety. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the woman’s arrest. On June 13, 2026, CPS officers responded to multiple calls for service involving the woman. She was subsequently located by police and taken into custody. The woman was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 13, 2026, and charged with five counts of fail to comply with probation order and three counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is alleged on May 12, 2026, and again on May 20, 2026, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on these dates, he attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. It is further alleged that later on May 12, 2026, the man was once again bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged on this date, he re-attended the Second Street East business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and investigations ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest.
On June 13, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to a disturbance call, and an investigation ensued. The man was subsequently located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on July 14, 2026.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 71-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 13, 2026, and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). On June 13, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to the area of Second Street East for an impaired driver complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was subsequently located by police and the investigation revealed he was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on July 7, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND, POSSESSING COUNTERFEIT MONEY
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 14, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants and also charged with possessing counterfeit money.
It is alleged on March 18, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend for fingerprints – as per undertaking. It is also alleged on April 14, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend for court – as per undertaking.
On June 14, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer, who was on general patrol in the City of Cornwall. Further investigation revealed he was in possession of counterfeit cash. The warrants were executed, the man was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on July 16, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on June 14, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting
- Assault with a weapon
It is alleged on June 14, 2026, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, she attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. It is further alleged the woman assaulted the Loss Prevention Officer at the business with an umbrella. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was located, taken into police custody and charged accordingly. The woman was later released to appear in court on July 28, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on June 14, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Three counts of fail to comply with probation order
- Assault
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Mischief – destroys or damages property
It is alleged on June 14, 2026, the man was bound by three separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he assaulted his mother, threatened to physically harm the woman and damaged her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located by CPS officers, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.
