FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 7, 2024, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on July 7, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside at a specific address, to not communicate with his ex-girlfriend, to not be within 50 metres of any place you know her to live, work or frequent and to not operate or have care or control of a motor vehicle. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man was in contact with his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Alexandria woman was arrested on July 7, 2024, and charged with assault. It is alleged on July 7, 2024, the woman assaulted her ex-boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 12, 2024. The woman’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Megan Julien, 26, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 8, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on July 8, 2024, the woman attended a Montreal Road business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Aug. 8, 2024.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – David St. Denis, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 8, 2024, and charged with mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on July 3, 2024, the man damaged property at a residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 8, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 13, 2024.

WARRANTS, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Shaine Robertson, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 8, 2024, on the strength of outstanding warrants, and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000. It is alleged on June 15, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged on June 17, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 8, 2024, police located the man while dealing with a separate matter. The warrants were executed and he was charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on Aug. 13, 2024.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 8, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with appearance notice. It is alleged on June 19, 2024, the youth was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. An investigation ensued. It is also alleged on June 20, 2024, the youth was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 8, 2024, the youth was located by police. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, DANGEROUS OPERATION

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Orleans, ON, youth was arrested on July 8, 2024, and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and dangerous operation. On July 8, 2024, a CPS patrol officer was alerted by Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) that a vehicle was reported stolen and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the youth was allegedly operating a stolen motor vehicle and was subsequently involved in a motor vehicle collision. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old St. Regis, QC, youth was arrested on July 8, 2024, and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. On July 8, 2024, a CPS patrol officer was alerted by Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) that a vehicle was reported stolen and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the youth was allegedly an occupant in a stolen motor vehicle. She was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Cornwall, ON – Titus Mason, 18, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 8, 2024, and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. On July 8, 2024, a CPS patrol officer was alerted by Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) that a vehicle was reported stolen and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly an occupant in a stolen motor vehicle. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 13, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY, BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Kimberly Rowe, 45, of Lunenburg, ON, was arrested on July 9, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with appearance notice and break and enter a place - commit indictable offence. It is alleged on June 19, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. An investigation ensued. It is also alleged on July 9, 2024, the woman broke into a Ninth Street East business and stole several items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was later located by police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 13, 2024.
