DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on July 6, 2026, and charged with domestic assault. In the early morning hours of July 6, 2026, police were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on July 5, 2026, the woman assaulted her spouse. On July 6, 2026, she attended Cornwall Police Service headquarters to address the matter. The woman was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Aug. 4, 2026.

FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Morrisburg, ON, was arrested on July 6, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on July 2, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to comply with appearance notice – court. On July 6, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on July 6, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Jan. 29, 2026, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend court after having appeared. On July 6, 2026, the woman was located by CPS officers, who were dealing with an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND, OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old woman from Brinston, ON, was arrested on July 6, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with operation while prohibited.

It is alleged on June 9, 2026, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend court as per undertaking.

On July 7, 2026, a CPS officer initiated a traffic stop in the City of Cornwall and an investigation ensued. The woman was located and taken into custody. Further investigation revealed she was operating a motor vehicle while prohibited. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Aug. 11, 2026.
