FAIL TO COMPLY, UTTERING THREATS, ASSAULT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 3, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Assault
  • Mischief under $5,000

It is alleged on July 1, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man made threats to cause bodily harm to a family member. Furthermore, it is alleged on July 2, 2024, the man was once again bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man assaulted a family member and damaged another family member’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 3, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 8, 2024. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victims.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Justin Roddy, 53, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 3, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on July 3, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Aug. 27, 2024.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Liam McCullough, 22, of Nepean, was arrested on July 4, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on June 14, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report in person weekly to the CPS. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 4, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on Aug. 27, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 4, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on July 4, 2024, the youth was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to remain in his residence between specific hours. On this date, while police were dealing with a separate matter, the youth was located and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the youth allegedly breached the conditions of his curfew. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DANGEROUS OPERATION CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – McKenna Bertrand, 18, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 4, 2024, and charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm. It is alleged on July 4, 2024, the woman operated her motor vehicle in a dangerous manner, which resulted in a passenger of her vehicle being injured. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Olivia Terrance, 39, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 4, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on June 17, 2024, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS every two weeks. It is also alleged on this date, she failed to do so. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 4, 2024, while police were dealing with a separate matter, the woman was located. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.
