WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Jason Turcotte, 36, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 20, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Jan. 9, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Jan. 20, 2025, the man was located by a Cornwall Police Service officer, who conducted a traffic stop. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on Feb. 23, 2025.

DOMESTIC WEAPON, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 20, 2025, and charged with domestic mischief and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose. On Jan. 20, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a domestic dispute call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Jan. 19, 2025, the man caused damage to his girlfriend’s property. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man used a sword and BB guns to cause damage to the property. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 11, 2025. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – John Bray, 61, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 20, 2025, and charged with mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on Jan. 19, 2025, the man damaged the property of an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 20, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 11, 2025.
