FAIL TO ATTEND, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Jan. 17, 2025, and charged with fail to attend for fingerprints as well as fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Dec. 6, 2024, the youth was scheduled to attend Cornwall Police Service headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. Furthermore, it is alleged on Jan. 3, 2025, the youth was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with her ex-boyfriend. It is alleged on this date, the youth communicated with her ex-boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 17, 2025, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matters. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Daniel Thibault, 35, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 17, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Jan. 16, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Jan. 17, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Gwen Gray, 49, of Akwesasne, was arrested on Jan. 17, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Jan. 14, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Jan. 17, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Feb. 6, 2025.  

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Kathleen Ferguson, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 17, 2025, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Dec. 28, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Jan. 17, 2025, the woman was located by a CPS officer, who was on general patrol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 3, 2025.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Carli Duffy-McCormick, 31, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 18, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 3, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Jan. 18, 2025, the woman was taken into custody by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and subsequently turned over to members of the CPS. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Teagan Chouina-Ladouceur, 21, of Cornwall, was arrested on Jan. 18, 2025, and charged with one count of fail to comply with probation order and three counts of assault. It is alleged on Jan. 18, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman assaulted several individuals. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was held for a bail hearing.  

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Jan. 19, 2025, and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged on Jan. 19, 2025, the youth sprayed his mother in the face with a body spray. Police were contacted an investigation ensued. The youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

There were 178 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the weekend (8 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. today). The CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
