ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, UTTERING THREATS, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – Jeffrey Leblanc, 33, of Cornwall, was arrested on Feb. 23, 2024, and charged with the following:

• Assault with a weapon
• Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
• Mischief under $5,000

It is alleged on Feb. 23, 2024, the man assaulted an individual known to him with a weapon and made threats to the woman. It is also alleged he damaged her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Joseph Lepage, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on Feb. 23, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Feb. 23, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on April 4, 2024.  

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Lessard, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on Feb. 23, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Feb. 23, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on April 4, 2024.  

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Michael Denneny, 44, of Cornwall, was arrested on Feb. 24, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Feb. 22, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Feb. 24, 2024, the man was located and the warrant was executed. He was released to appear in court on April 4, 2024.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Feb. 24, 2024, and charged with spousal assault. It is alleged on Feb. 24, 2024, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, take into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 19, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.  

FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT UNDER $5,000, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 12-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Feb. 24, 2024, and charged with the following:

• Two counts fail to comply with release order
• Theft under $5,000
• Mischief under $5,000

It is alleged on Feb. 24, 2024, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to remain in his residence and to abide by the rules of the house. It is also alleged on this date, the youth stole items from his residence and damaged property in the home. Furthermore, it is alleged the youth left the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Taylor Wilkinson, 38, of Kingston, ON, was arrested on Feb. 25, 2024, and charged with break and enter with intent to commit indictable offence. It is alleged on Feb. 25, 2024, the man broke into a Second Street East building. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on April 4, 2024.

BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Michael Orr, 30, of Kingston, ON, was arrested on Feb. 25, 2024, and charged with break and enter with intent to commit indictable offence. It is alleged on Feb. 25, 2024, the man broke into a Second Street East building. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on April 4, 2024.
