ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old man of Akwesasne was arrested on Feb. 19, 2026, and charged with one count of assault.
It is alleged on Feb. 17, 2026, the man assaulted a federal government employee while conducting their duties. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
On Feb. 19, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear on March 26, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND COURT
Cornwall, ON – A youth of Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 19, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant.
It is alleged that on Feb. 05, 2026, the youth was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for failing to attend court.
On Feb. 19, 2026, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and the youth was released to attend court on a later date.
THEFT UNDER $5,000, THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old woman of Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 19, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants.
It is alleged that on May 11, 2025, the woman took property from another individual without permission. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued, and a warrant was issued for one count of theft under $5,000. Furthermore, it is alleged that on June 18, 2025, the woman threatened to damage another individual's property. Police were contacted, an investigation ensued, and a warrant was issued for one count of uttering threats.
On Feb. 19, 2026, the woman was located during an unrelated occurrence and the warrants were executed. She was released to appear in court on March 26, 2026.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 19, 2026, and charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm and two counts of failing to comply with probation.
It is alleged that on April 11, 2025, and again on February 19, 2026, the man assaulted his girlfriend on both occasions by choking her. At the time of each incident, the man was bound by a probation order requiring him to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
COUNTERFEIT MONEY
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 19, 2026, and charged with one count of uttering counterfeit money.
It is alleged on Feb. 04, 2026, the man attended a cannabis retailer and purchased items using counterfeit money. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
On Feb. 19, 2026, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on March 26, 2026.
DRIVING WHILE PROHIBITED
Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old man of Akwesasne was arrested on Feb. 19, 2026, and charged with operation while prohibited and failing to comply with probation.
It is alleged on Feb. 19, 2026, the man was bound by a prohibition order with the relevant condition to not operate a motor vehicle, and a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On this date, the man was operating a vehicle and attended the Port of Entry. He was subsequently taken into custody by Border Services officers and turned over to members of Cornwall Police Service.
He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 26, 2026.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old woman of Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 20, 2026, and charged with assault.
It is alleged on Jan. 30, 2026, the woman assaulted her mother. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
On Feb. 20, 2026, the woman was located during an unrelated occurrence. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on March 26, 2026.
