POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY, DISTRIBUTES CHILD PORNOGRAPHY, ACCESS CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Cornwall, ON – Michael Lalonde, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on Feb. 13, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Possession of child pornography
  • Imports, distributes, sells or possession for the purpose of distribution or sale any child pornography
  • Access any child pornography

It is alleged the man was in possession of child pornography, distributed child pornography and accessed child pornography via the internet.

On Feb. 13, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 20, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 66-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Feb. 12, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Jan. 13, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not be within 200 metres of any place his ex-wife lives, works or frequents. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended his ex-wife’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Feb. 12, 2025, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 6, 2025. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Mathieu Duplantie, 36, of Cornwall, was arrested on Feb. 13, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Feb. 13, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On this date, police responded to a robbery and an investigation ensued. The man was located by a member of the CPS. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, DISGUISE WITH INTENT

Cornwall, ON – Larry Labelle, 48, of Cornwall was arrested on Feb. 14, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of disguise with intent. It is alleged on Feb. 11, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not be in contact with a specific individual. It is also alleged on this date, the man was in communication with the individual he was prohibited from contacting. Furthermore, it is alleged he disguised himself. On Feb. 14, 2025, a member of the CPS conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on March 4, 2025.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Adam Albers, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on Feb. 14, 2025, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Dec. 16, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Feb. 14, 2025, the man was located by a CPS officer who was dealing with a separate matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 8, 2025.

WARRANT, FRAUD

Cornwall, ON – Chantelle Anderson, 57, of Cornwall, was arrested on Feb. 15, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with fraud under $5,000. It is alleged in February 2022, the woman stole funds from the bank account of an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest. On Feb. 15, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, and she was released to appear in court on April 3, 2025.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Randy Grabs, 40, of Moose Creek, was arrested on Feb. 15, 2025, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On Feb. 15, 2025, members of the CPS were conducting driver sobriety checks as a result of a R.I.D.E. operation in the area of Pitt Street. It is alleged on this date, the man was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on March 6, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Feb. 16, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Assault

It is alleged on Feb. 15, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On Feb. 15, 2025, police responded to an unwanted person call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man stole items from his father’s residence.

Furthermore, it is alleged on Feb. 16, 2025, the man was once again bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged on this date, the man punched his brother-in-law in the face. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On Feb. 16, 2025, the man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on March 25, 2025. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victims in the matter.

POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – Cody Lacelle, 32, of Cornwall, was arrested on Feb. 16, 2025, and charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. On Feb. 16, 2025, the man was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency and subsequently turned over to the CPS. An investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was in possession of stolen vehicle plates. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 25, 2025.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 259 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last five days (from Thursday, Feb. 13 at 8 a.m. to Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 8 a.m.).
