WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Johnathan Bernard, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 4, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Dec. 3, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Dec. 4, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2025.

WARRANT, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Lise-Anne Terriah, 40, of Cornwall, was arrested on Dec. 4, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Nov. 16, 2024, the woman waived a metal bar in the direction of an individual known to her and also threated to kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for the woman’s arrest. On Dec. 4, 2024, she attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 9, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Dec. 4, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Eight counts of fail to comply with undertaking
  • Criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

It is alleged on Dec. 2, 2024, the youth was bound by two separate undertakings, each with the relevant conditions to notify the CPS within 24 hours of any address change, to reside at a specific address, to be at that residence between specific hours and to obey house rules. On Dec. 2, 2024, while a member of the CPS was dealing with a separate matter, the officer’s investigation revealed the youth was allegedly breaching conditions of the undertakings.

On Dec. 4, 2024, police responded to a threats/harassment complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth sent harassing messages to a family member and threatened to kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

The youth was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT, BREAK AND ENTER, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Saxon Pierce, 29, of Montreal, was arrested on Dec. 4, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with break and enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence and assault. It is alleged on Sept. 16, 2024, the man broke into the residence of an individual known to him and assaulted the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Dec. 4, 2024, the man was located by a member of the CPS who was on general patrol. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

There were 62 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today). CPS reserves the right to not post all calls for service in order to protect the identity of the victims.
