FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Aug. 15, 2026, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose. On Aug. 15, 2026, members of the Cornwall Police Service responded to a report of two males fighting. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to not possess any weapons as defined by the Criminal Code and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged he brandished an edged weapon. The man was located by police and taken into custody. He was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Sept. 10, 2026.  

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Aug. 17, 2026, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Aug. 5, 2026, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the CPS on a weekly basis. It is further alleged on Aug. 5, 2026, she failed to report to police. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for her arrest. On Aug. 17, 2026, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Aug. 17, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on July 30, 2026, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of failure to attend court after having appeared. On Aug. 17, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to a suspicious person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The woman was located and taken into custody. The warrant was executed and she was later released to appear in court on Sept. 24, 2026.
