FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 2, 2025, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with release order and one count of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on April 2, 2025, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not contact her ex-boyfriend, to not be within 200 metres of any place he lives, works or frequents and to not attend his address. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a second probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the woman attended her ex-boyfriend’s residence and communicated with him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located by members of the Cornwall Police Service. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

MAN FACES 11 CHARGES IN RELATION TO WEAPON INCIDENT

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 2, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Three counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Disguise with intent
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Administer noxious thing
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Uttering threats to damage property
  • Possession of break-in instruments

On April 2, 2025, members of the CPS responded to a weapon call and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess break and enter tools. It is also alleged, he was bound by a second probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man wore a disguise and sprayed two individuals with a noxious thing. It is also alleged he stole their bicycle trailer, threatened to burn down their property and beat them up.

The man was located by police and further investigation revealed he was also in possession of break-in instruments. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ADMINISTER NOXIOUS THING, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 2, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Administer noxious thing
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose

It is alleged on this date, the woman sprayed two individuals with a noxious thing. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was later released to appear in court on May 6, 2025.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 80 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
