WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION OF PROCEEDS OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – Daniel Legue, 29, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 18, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with the following:

  • Fail to attend court
  • Two counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000

It is alleged the man was scheduled to attend court on May 28, 2019, and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged on April 18, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not operate a motor vehicle. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a separate release order with the relevant condition to not possess any scales. On April 18, 2024, the man was observed by the OPP to be operating a motor vehicle in the City of Cornwall. The CPS was notified and an investigation ensued by the CPS Street Crime Unit in conjunction with the OPP. The man was located and taken into custody. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly in possession of a schedule I substance, proceeds of property obtained by crime as well as a digital scale. The warrant was executed and he was charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Caylum Woods, 25, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 18, 2024, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged between May 14, 2019, and Nov. 22, 2019, the man breached his probation by failing to report as required. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged, the man was scheduled to attend court on Aug. 20, 2021, and he failed to do so. A second warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 18, 2024, the OPP arrested the man and turned him over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on May 15, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 18, 2024, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order and two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on April 16, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a separate probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not communicate with his ex-girlfriend. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate with his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 100 metres of any place she is known to be. It is alleged on April 16, 2024, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 18, 2024, the man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, RESIST PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 18, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Domestic assault
  • Resist peace officer

It is alleged on April 18, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man assaulted his girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located and while being taken into custody, he allegedly resisted police. The man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
