SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 15, 2026, and charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on April 7, 2026, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On April 15, 2026, he was located by a Cornwall Police Service officer, who was on general patrol in the City of Cornwall. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 21, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 15, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is further alleged on March 22, 2026, the man attended a Marlborough Street business, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued – led by a Community Safety Officer. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest.
It is alleged on April 14, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of failure to attend court while on release order.
On April 15, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer, who was on general patrol. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 15, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 6, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of failure to attend court after having appeared. On April 15, 2026, police were dispatched to an unwanted person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was located by CPS officers. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 15, 2026, and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). On April 15, 2026, the woman was located by members of the CPS during an unrelated investigation. It was revealed she was operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on May 7, 2026.

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 15, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 7, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of failure to attend court while on release order. On April 15, 2026, the man was located by CPS officers. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing.
