FAIL TO COMPLY, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 14, 2025, and charged with four counts of fail to comply with probation order and two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on April 13, 2025, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged on this date, the man threatened to kill his mother and her common-law spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 14, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service responded to an unwanted person complaint and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 14, 2025, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on March 28, 2025, the woman assaulted her boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 14, 2025, she attended police headquarters to address the matter. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 6, 2025.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 14, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of breach of recognizance
  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Domestic assault
  • Domestic assault with a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

It is alleged on Oct. 23, 2024, the man was bound by a recognizance with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess any weapons. It is also alleged on this date, the man assaulted his girlfriend and brandished an edged weapon. Furthermore, it is alleged he threatened to kill his girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for the man’s arrest. On April 14, 2025, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old woman from Montreal was arrested on April 14, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Feb. 14, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 14, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on May 29, 2025.   

UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on April 14, 2025, and charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. On April 14, 2025, a member of the CPS was dispatched to a threats complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on April 7, 2025, and April 10, 2025, the youth threatened to kill her mother. Later on April 14, 2025, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING, WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 14, 2025, and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting and one count of fail to attend.

It is alleged on March 16, 2025, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is also alleged on March 18, 2025, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged on April 3, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On April 14, 2025, the man was located by a CPS officer who was on general patrol. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

CAUSING A DISTURBANCE, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – On the evening of April 14, 2025, several members of the CPS responded to a disturbance call and an alleged fight involving numerous individuals.

An investigation ensued and as a result, three people were apprehended:

  • A 32-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 14, 2025, and charged with causing a disturbance. It is alleged while police were investigating the matter, the woman continued to cause a disturbance. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on May 20, 2025.
  • A 32-year-old man from Newington was arrested on April 14, 2025, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on this date, the man threatened to kill an individual. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was later released to appear in court on May 29, 2025.
  • A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 14, 2025, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on this date, the man threatened to kill an individual. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was later released to appear in court on May 20, 2025.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 14, 2025, and charged with mischief under $5,000. On April 14, 2025, police responded to a mischief complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man damaged a City of Cornwall bus shelter. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on May 20, 2025.
