FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING, WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kenneth Gass, 54, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 12, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000. It is alleged on April 12, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Brookdale Avenue business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. Furthermore, it is alleged on April 9, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 12, 2024, the warrant was executed and the man was held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 12, 2024, and charged with assault. It is alleged on April 1, 2024, the youth assaulted an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 12, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.   

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 14, 2024, and charged with domestic assault and domestic assault with a weapon. It is alleged on April 14, 2024, the youth assaulted his ex-girlfriend and assaulted her with a weapon. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 14, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.  

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Robert Cameron, 55, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 14, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 5, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On April 14, 2024, the man was located by police while dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on May 21, 2024.

UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Leslie Nelson, 42, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 14, 2024, and charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm. It is alleged on April 14, 2024, the woman threatened to harm several individuals. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on May 21, 2024.

FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old St. Andrews West man was arrested on April 14, 2024, and charged with forcible confinement and criminal harassment. It is alleged on April 14, 2024, the man boxed in his ex-girlfriend with his motor vehicle, preventing her from leaving. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 23, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 14, 2024, and charged with forcible confinement. It is alleged on April 14, 2024, the youth boxed in his ex-girlfriend with his motor vehicle, preventing her from leaving. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
