WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 11, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Feb. 6, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 11, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to a disturbance complaint and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, and the warrant was executed. She was held for a bail hearing.  

WARRANTS, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 50-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 11, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants.

It is alleged on Sept. 24, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On Sept. 24, 2024, while police were dealing with a separate matter, the investigation revealed the man allegedly breached the conditions of his release order.

It is also alleged on Oct. 17, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

It is alleged from Sept. 27, 2024, to Jan. 13, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report in person to a probation officer. It is also alleged from Sept. 27, 2024, to Jan. 13, 2025, he failed to report to a probation officer. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.

On April 11, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matters. The warrants were executed and he was held for a bail hearing.  

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 11, 2025, and charged with breach of recognizance and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on March 14, 2025, the woman was bound by a recognizance with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she attended a Brookdale Avenue business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 11, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 15, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 11, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Fail to comply with appearance notice
  • Fail to comply with undertaking
  • Mischief under $5,000

It is alleged on March 17, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so.

On April 11, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a mischief complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific individual. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the woman was in communication with the individual she was prohibited from having contact with and smashed a window at a residence. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was later released to appear in court on May 20, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 11, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking and mischief under $5,000. On April 11, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a mischief complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific individual. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man was in communication with the individual he was prohibited from having contact with and smashed a window at a residence. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was later released to appear in court on May 20, 2025.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on April 12, 2025, and charged with mischief under $5,000. On April 12, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a family dispute and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth caused damage to property at his mother’s residence. The youth was later located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

FAIL TO COMPLY, IMPAIRED OPERATION, MISCHIEF, RESIST PEACE OFFICER, REFUSAL, UTTERING THREATS, ASSAULT PEACE OFFICER, DISARMING PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 12, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Fail to comply with sentence order
  • Impaired operation
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Resist peace officer
  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Two counts of assault a peace officer
  • Disarming a peace officer

On April 12, 2025, police were dispatched to the area of First Street East for a possible impaired driver and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a sentence order with the relevant condition to not be in the driver’s seat of any motor vehicle unless his blood alcohol level is zero.

The investigation revealed the man operated his vehicle under the influence of alcohol and damaged his mother’s vehicle. He was located by a CPS officer, and it is alleged he resisted arrest and refused to comply with the demand to complete a standardized field sobriety test. Furthermore, it is alleged, the man threatened to assault a peace officer, he assaulted the officer and spit on the officer. Finally, it is alleged, the man attempted to grab the officer’s taser.

He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS, FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 12, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with appearance notice
  • Assault
  • Fail to comply with summons
  • Assault with a weapon

It is alleged on Oct. 8, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

It is also alleged on Dec. 4, 2024, the man assaulted an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged on March 6, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

On April 12, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to an assault call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted an individual known to him with a weapon. He was located by police and taken into custody. The warrants were executed, he was charged according and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on April 13, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on April 12, 2025, the youth was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with her ex-boyfriend. It is also alleged the youth had been in communication with her ex-boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 13, 2025, the youth was located by a member of the CPS. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.

ASSAULT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 13, 2025, and charged with assault and mischief under $5,000. It is alleged on this date, the woman assaulted an individual known to her and damaged her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on May 20, 2025.
