BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 10, 2026, and charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence. In the early morning hours of April 10, 2026, members of the Cornwall Police Service responded to a report of an unknown male inside a residence. An investigation determined the man had allegedly entered the home without permission with the intent to commit an indictable offence. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. Later that morning, the man was located by officers and taken into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
TRAFFIC IN SCHEDULE III SUBSTANCE
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 10, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. In November 2025, members of the CPS initiated an investigation into a business on Montreal Road. The investigation revealed that a man was allegedly trafficking a Schedule III substance in contravention of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of traffic in Schedule III substance – other drugs. On April 10, 2026, the man was located by CPS officers, who were dealing with an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and he was later released to appear in court on May 19, 2026.
FAIL TO ATTEND, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Lancaster was arrested on April 10, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with appearance notice – court/fingerprinting
- Fail to comply with release order
- Three counts of fail to comply with probation order
It is alleged on Jan. 8, 2026, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so.
It is alleged on March 26, 2026, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to the bail supervision program in person as well as a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on March 26, 2026, the man failed to report to the bail supervision program. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.
On April 10, 2026, police were dispatched to a Ninth Street East business in regard to a suspicious person complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not possess any weigh scales, hydroponic growing equipment or other drug paraphernalia. The man was subsequently located by CPS officers, and it is alleged he was in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on April 10, 2026, and charged with domestic assault and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic. On April 10, 2026, police responded to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth assaulted his girlfriend and threatened to kill her. He was subsequently located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.
FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF FIREARM CONTRARY TO PROHIBITION ORDER, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM
Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 11, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with the following:
- Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Domestic assault with a weapon
- Assault causing bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle
It is alleged on Jan. 14, 2026, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man choked his girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of assault causing bodily harm – domestic.
On Jan. 24, 2026, police were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to reside at a specific address in the City of Cornwall, as well as a second probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, the man threatened his girlfriend via text message. Further investigation revealed he no longer resided at the address he was required to live at. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of three counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm – domestic.
On April 11, 2026, police were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour as well as a weapon’s prohibition order. It is further alleged the man was in possession of a BB gun and threatened to use it on the victim. He also allegedly strangled the woman. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. He was later located by police and taken into custody. The warrants were executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 64-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 11, 2026, and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus). On April 11, 2026, police were dispatched to the area of Boundary Road in relation to a possible impaired driver, and an investigation ensued. The man was subsequently located by police, and the investigation revealed he was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on May 5, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 12, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged between Feb. 7, 2025, and July 11, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to report in person to a probation officer within two working days of his release from custody and after that, at all times as directed by the probation officer. It is further alleged the man failed to report to the probation officer and as a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of two counts of fail to comply with probation order. On April 12, 2026, the man was transferred into the custody of the CPS from another facility. The warrant was executed and he was later released to appear in court on May 19, 2026.

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 12, 2026, and charged with the following:
- Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
- Two counts of domestic assault
- Two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
It is alleged on April 9, 2026, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, he threatened to kill his spouse and assaulted the woman on two separate occasions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest.
On April 11, 2026, police were dispatched to a threat’s complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was once again bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged the man threatened to kill his spouse. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.
On April 12, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old female youth and a 15-year-old male youth, both from Cornwall, were arrested on April 12, 2026, and each charged with mischief under $5,000. On April 10, 2026, police were dispatched to a neighbour dispute, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youths damaged the complainant’s property. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for their arrests. On April 12, 2026, the youths were separately located by CPS officers. They were each taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. They were released to appear in court at a later date.
FAIL TO ATTEND, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on April 12, 2026, and charged with one count of fail to comply with appearance notice – court/fingerprinting and 12 counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is alleged on March 11, 2026, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for her arrest.
On April 11, 2026, police were dispatched to a Marlborough Street convenience store in regard to theft complaints, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged that twice on April 8, 2026, three times on April 9, 2026, and four times on April 10, 2026, the woman attended a Marlborough Street convenience store, selected merchandise and exited the store on each occasion without making any attempt to pay for the items. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest.
It is alleged that later on April 11, 2026, the woman once again attended a Marlborough Street convenience store, selected merchandise and exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Reasonable and probable grounds were once again developed for her arrest.
Finally, it is alleged that twice on April 12, 2026, the woman attended a Marlborough Street convenience store, selected merchandise and exited the store on each occasion without making any attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Reasonable and probable grounds were again developed for her arrest.
Later on April 12, 2026, the woman was located by a CPS officer. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
