DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, MISCHIEF UNDER $5,000

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Brinston, ON, woman was arrested on April 11, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Domestic assault
  • Three counts of domestic assault with a weapon
  • Two counts of mischief under $5,000

It is alleged on April 11, 2024, the woman assaulted her boyfriend, assaulted him multiple times with a weapon and damaged property in his residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 11, 2024, and charged with assault. It is alleged on April 9, 2024, the youth assaulted an individual known to her at school. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 11, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Her name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.  

IMPAIRED OPERATION BY DRUG

Cornwall, ON – Justin Wright, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on April 12, 2024, and charged with impaired operation by drug. It is alleged on April 12, 2024, the man attended police headquarters in his motor vehicle and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was operating his vehicle while under the influence of drugs. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 7, 2024.
