FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 4, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Sept. 3, 2025, the youth was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times. It is also alleged on this date, the youth fled from his residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 4, 2025, the youth was located. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He was released to appear in court at a later date.

FAIL TO COMPLY, FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 4, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

  • Six counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Fail to attend
  • Fail to comply with probation order

On Aug. 29, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service responded to an intimate person violation complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate with her ex-boyfriend, to not be within 100 metres of any place she knows her ex-boyfriend to live, work or frequent and to not attend a specific address. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended the address she was prohibited from visiting and communicated with her ex-boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 1, 2025, further investigation also revealed the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to reside at a specific address, which she failed to do.

It is alleged on Sept. 2, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

It is alleged on Sept. 4, 2025, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to live at a specific address and to not communicate with her ex-boyfriend. She was also bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On Sept. 4, 2025, the woman was located by a CPS officer who was dealing with a separate matter. An investigation ensued and revealed she was allegedly no longer living at the specific address and was in communication with her ex-boyfriend. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 4, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 7, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Sept. 4, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Oct. 7, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 4, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of assault. It is alleged on Sept. 4, 2025, the man was bound by two separate probation orders, each with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man assaulted an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.
