UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 17, 2025, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

It is alleged on Aug. 22, 2025, the man threatened to kill an individual at a Pitt Street establishment. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

Earlier this month, the Cornwall Police Service asked for public assistance to help identify an individual in relation to the threat complaint. The man was subsequently identified through a social media post. As a result, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.

On Sept. 17, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Oct. 16, 2025.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, BREAK AND ENTER, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 17, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Break and enter a place with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Mischief – destroys or damages property

It is alleged from Sept. 5-10, 2025, the youth was bound by a probation order. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.

In the early morning hours of Sept. 15, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a security alarm, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth attempted to break into a residence, damaging the door in the process. As the investigation continued, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.

On Sept. 17, 2025, the youth was located by a CPS officer. The warrant was executed, and he was charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 17, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Sept. 4, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Sept. 17, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters for an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed, and she was later released to appear in court on Oct. 21, 2025.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 88 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
