BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE, UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 30, 2025, and charged with breach of recognizance and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. On Sept. 30, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to a disturbance in the area of Water Street, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a recognizance with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged she threatened to physically harm an individual. The woman was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Nov. 4, 2025.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 50-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 30, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Sept. 23, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Sept. 30, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, and he was released to appear in court on Nov. 4, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 30, 2025, and charged with the following:
- Fail to comply with release order
- Domestic assault with a weapon
- Six counts of mischief under $5,000
On Sept. 30, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapons as defined by the Criminal Code. It is also alleged on this date, the man threw an object at his ex-girlfriend and damaged property in the woman’s residence. Further investigation revealed the man was in possession of a BB gun. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.
USE OF CREDIT CARD, POSSESSION PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, THEFT, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 30, 2025, and charged with the following:
- Six counts of use of credit card
- Five counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Theft under $5,000
- Theft under $5,000 – shoplifting
On Aug. 15, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to investigate a theft from motor vehicle incident that occurred overnight from Aug. 13-14, 2025, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on these dates, the woman used a credit card for fraudulent transactions and was in possession of property obtained by crime.
On Sept. 10, 2025, a CPS officer was tasked to investigate a theft from motor vehicle that occurred overnight from Sept. 3-4, 2025. It is alleged on these dates, the woman used a credit card for fraudulent transactions and was in possession of property obtained by crime.
On Sept. 17, 2025, a CPS officer was tasked to investigate a theft from motor vehicle that occurred overnight from Sept. 12, 2025. It is alleged on this dates, the woman used a credit card for fraudulent transactions and was in possession of property obtained by crime.
On Sept. 22, 2025, a CPS officer was tasked to investigate a theft that occurred on Sept. 19, 2025. It is alleged on this date, the woman stole cash from a motor vehicle.
As a result of these investigations, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for the woman’s arrest.
Furthermore, it is alleged on Sept. 30, 2025, the woman attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was held for a bail hearing.
WARRANTS
Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Sept. 30, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged on June 17, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged on Sept. 9, 2025, the man was once again scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A second warrant was issued for his arrest. In the early morning hours of Oct. 1, 2025, police responded to a break-in complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police, and the warrants were executed. He was later released to appear in court on Nov. 4, 2025.
CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 55 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
