FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 31, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with sentence order and domestic assault. On Oct. 31, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to an unwanted person complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth was bound by a sentence order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, the youth assaulted her ex-boyfriend. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.

OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old woman from Akwesasne was arrested on Oct. 31, 2025, and charged with two counts of operation while prohibited. On Oct. 31, 2025, the woman was taken into custody by member of the Canada Border Services Agency and subsequently turned over to the CPS. It is alleged on this date, she was operating a motor vehicle while prohibited from doing so. The woman was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Dec. 11, 2025.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 31, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Sept. 10, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Oct. 31, 2025, the woman was taken into custody by members of the Ontario Provincial Police and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed, and she was later released to appear in court on Dec. 11, 2025.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 54-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 1, 2025, and charged with operation while impaired and over 80. In the early morning hours of Nov. 1, 2025, members of the CPS were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program in the area of Pitt Street. It is alleged on this date, the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Nov. 27, 2025.

FAIL TO STOP AFTER ACCIDENT, IMPAIRED OPERATION, OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 1, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Failure to stop after accident
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Obstruct peace officer

On Nov. 1, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to the area of Augustus Street, after a report that a motor vehicle hit another parked car. An investigation ensued. The woman was located by police and the investigation revealed she failed to remain at the scene of the collision and was operating her motor vehicle under the influence of drugs. It is further alleged she obstructed police in its investigation. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Nov. 18, 2025.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 1, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 25, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to attend. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 1, 2025, the man was located by CPS officers, who were dealing with an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed, and the man was held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old man from Long Sault was arrested on Nov. 1, 2025, and charged with assault. It is alleged on Sept. 21, 2025, the man punched an individual in the face at a Second Street West establishment. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result of the investigation, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On Nov. 1, 2025, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Dec. 2, 2025.

ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 2, 2025, and charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon. In the early morning hours of Nov. 2, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a Second Street West establishment for an unwanted person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man threw a bottle at another individual, striking him and causing injury. The man was later located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 2, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants.

It is alleged on April 13, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

It is further alleged on May 20, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A second warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Nov. 2, 2025, police responded to a suspicious person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was located by a CPS officer, and the warrants were executed. He was later released to appear in court on Dec. 11, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 2, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. On Nov. 2, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a breach of undertaking complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with her girlfriend and to not go within 100 metres of any place her girlfriend lives, works of frequents. It is further alleged on this date, the woman was in contact and communication with her girlfriend. She was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was held for a bail hearing.  

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man was arrested on Nov. 2, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on May 2, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 2, 2025, police were dispatched to an unwanted person complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was located by a CPS officer, and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 207 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the weekend (8 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. today).
