CORNWALL WOMAN FACES NUMEROUS CHARGES FROM SEPARATE INCIDENTS

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 11, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with the following:

  • Fail to attend
  • Five counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Three counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting
  • Aggravated assault
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Administer noxious thing
  • Robbery with theft
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Break and enter a dwelling house – commit indictable offence
  • Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
  • Assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault causing bodily harm – choke, suffocate or strangle
  • Administer noxious thing with intent to endanger life or cause bodily harm

It is alleged on June 9, 2025, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not attend a specific Ninth Street West business. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended the Ninth Street West business she was prohibited from visiting, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is alleged on July 10, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

It is alleged on July 15, 2025, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not attend a specific Ninth Street West business. It is also alleged on this date, the woman attended the Ninth Street West business she was prohibited from visiting, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for the woman’s arrest.

On Sept. 22, 2025, a CPS officer was dispatched to a Second Street East business for a shop theft complaint, which was later determined to be a robbery. It is alleged on Sept. 22, 2025, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapons. It is also alleged the woman attended the Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without paying for the items. Furthermore, it is alleged the Loss Prevention Officer sustained injuries after being punched in the face, while another individual was pepper-sprayed. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for the woman’s arrest.

On Oct. 24, 2025, police responded to an assault complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Oct. 21, 2025, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapons. It is also alleged on this date, the woman unlawfully entered the residence of an individual known to her, assaulted the man, choked him and sprayed the individual with bear spray. As a result of the investigation, another warrant was issued for the woman’s arrest.

Early on Nov. 11, 2025, police responded to a 9-1-1 call and an investigation ensued. The woman was subsequently located by CPS officers in the residence. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 11, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Nov. 8, 2025, the youth was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate directly or indirectly with his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged the youth communicated with his ex-girlfriend via social media applications. As a result of the investigation, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest. On Nov. 11, 2025, the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 11, 2025, and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.

It is alleged on March 24, 2025, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is also alleged in the early morning hours of March 25, 2025, the man attended a Thirteenth Street business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

As a result of the investigations, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest.

On Nov. 11, 2025, a CPS officer located the man during a traffic stop for an unrelated matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 23, 2025.

FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 11, 2025, and charged with fail to attend for fingerprints as per undertaking. It is alleged on Oct. 22, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprinting and failed to do so. On Nov. 11, 2025, the man was taken into custody by members of the Ontario Provincial Police and subsequently turned over to the CPS. He was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Nov. 23, 2025.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 11, 2025, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On Nov. 11, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to the area of Walton Street for an impaired driving complaint, and an investigation ensued. The man was located and the investigation revealed he was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Dec. 2, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man from Summerstown was arrested on Nov. 11, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking.

On Nov. 10, 2025, a CPS officer was dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Nov. 9, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not associate or communicate, directly or indirectly, with his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged on this date, the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend.

On Nov. 11, 2025, a CPS officer was dispatched to a bail violation incident and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Nov. 10, 2025, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not associate or communicate, directly or indirectly, with his ex-girlfriend. It is also alleged on this date, the man once again communicated with his ex-girlfriend.

As a result of the investigations, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest.

On Nov. 11, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
