WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 18, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Dec. 11, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Dec. 18, 2025, the man was located during an unrelate occurrence and the warrant was executed. He was held for a bail hearing.
SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old woman of Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 19. 2025, and charged with theft under $5,000 and 5 counts of failing to comply with probation. It is alleged on Oct. 25, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and to not communicate with her boyfriend.
It is further alleged on this date, her and her boyfriend attended a Second Street business, selected merchandise, and left the store without attempting to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is further alleged on Dec. 10, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not communicate with and be within a specific distance of her boyfriend. It is alleged on this date, was with her boyfriend resulting in a police investigation.
On Dec. 19, 2025, the woman was located by members of Community Patrol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
THEFT UNDER$5,000, POSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, OBSTRUCTION
Cornwall, ON – On December 19, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service were contacted regarding a suspicious person in the area. It was alleged that the individual attempted to gain entry into a residence belonging to an off-duty police officer, as well as a nearby vehicle.
The male was detained by the off-duty officer with the assistance of a member of the public. Police attended and commenced an investigation. During the investigation, it was alleged that the individual provided a false name to police and was found in possession of property taken from the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, a 24-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, and obstruction of a peace officer. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
