BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on November 3rd, 2022 and charged with breach of undertaking for contacting her ex-boyfriend. It is alleged between October 20th and November 2nd, 2022, the woman contacted her ex-boyfriend on multiple occasions, despite her conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 3rd, 2022, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 22nd, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

TRAFFICK IN A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Vanturnhout, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on November 3rd, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Traffick in a Schedule I substance x 2 (methamphetamine and fentanyl)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (fentanyl)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Breach of release order x 2 (for failing to remain in his residence and possessing a weapon)

It is alleged on November 3rd, 2022, the man was located by police outside of his residence, despite the conditions of his release order and an investigation subsequently ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, fentanyl, Canadian currency and a knife. The estimated value of the seized drugs is approximately $151,000.00.  He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
