WARRANT, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Tessier, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on September 28th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant for failing to attend court on September 6th, 2022. He was also charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged on September 10th, 2022, the man damaged a window and barbecue belonging to someone known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 28th, 2022, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 10th, 2022.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 28th, 2022 and charged with sexual assault. It is alleged on September 28th, 2022, the man sexually assaulted a person known to him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 10th, 2022. His name was not released as it may identify the victim in the matter.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Clarissa Square, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on September 28th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 28th, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as she left the store. She was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 10th, 2022.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jacob Benoit, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on September 29th, 2022 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 3rd, 2022 and September 14th, 2022, the man attended two local businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the stores on either occasion. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 29th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 1st, 2022.
