THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 21st, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between August 28-29, the man took a quantity of money from his girlfriend without permission and police were contacted to investigate. On September 21st, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 27th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THREE YOUTHS ARRESTED FOR BREACHING CONDITIONS

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old and two 16-year-old youths were arrested on September 21st, 2022 and each charged with breach of undertaking for having contact with one another. It is alleged on September 20th, 2022, the youths had been in the company of one another, despite their conditions to not have any contact. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 21st, 2022, they were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Their names were not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

FAIL TO ATTEND COURT

Cornwall, ON – Jason Wreaks, 38, of Cornwall was arrested on September 21st, 2022 and charged with failing to attend court. It is alleged on September 21st, the man failed to attend court for a fraud offence and police were contacted to investigate. Later in the day, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 27th, 2022.

FAIL TO ATTEND COURT

Cornwall, ON – John Logan, 38, of Akwesasne was arrested on September 22nd, 2022 and charged with failing to attend court. It is alleged on September 20th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a drive while disqualified offence and police were contacted to investigate. On September 22nd, 2022, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 27th, 2022.

WARRANT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jason Gougeon, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on September 22nd, 2022 on the strength of a warrant for breaching his probation order. He was also charged with breach of release order for failing to remain in his residence. It is alleged on August 17th, 2022, the man was observed outside of his residence during the early morning hours, despite the conditions of his release order and an investigation ensued. On September 22nd, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
