WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Martika Smoke Thompson, 32, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 22nd, 2022, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on November 15th, 2021, the woman was scheduled to appear for court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued. Furthermore, it is alleged that on November 30th, 2021, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued. Furthermore, on April 14th, 2022, it is alleged that the woman was bound by a release order with conditions to reside at a certain address and to remain in that address unless in the presence of a certain individual. It is also alleged that on this date, she assaulted a woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Investigation revealed she was not at living at the appropriate address, nor was she in the presence of a certain individual as per her release order. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On July 22nd, 2022, police located the woman and the warrants were executed. She was held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER

Cornwall, ON – Korbin Billard, 33, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 22nd, 2022, and charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and breaching a release order. It is alleged that on June 2nd, 2022, the man stole a cell phone from someone who is known to him. Furthermore, it is alleged on June 12th, 2022, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to notify Cornwall Police Service of any change of address. On this date, the man attended a Ninth Street business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Investigation revealed the man had moved from his address on June 3rd, 2022, and failed to notify CPS. He was located on July 22, 2022, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT, POSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY

Cornwall, ON – Malinda Rochon, 42, of Cornwall, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with possession of stolen property. It is alleged that on December 23rd, 2021, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued. Furthermore, on July 22nd, 2022, police were contacted as a result of a bicycle being stolen outside of a Montreal Road business. Police were contacted an and investigation ensued. The woman was located riding the bicycle. She was taken into custody, the warrant was executed, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

POSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Englefield, 42, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 22nd, 2022, and charged with possession of stolen property. On July 16th, 2022, police investigated a break and enter where a residence was entered and items were removed. On July 22nd, 2022, information was received that the man attended a pawn shop with some of the items. The man was located, taken into custody, and released to appear in court on September 6th, 2022.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Daryl Serrurier, 35, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 23rd, 2022, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged that on July 23rd, 2022, the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. An investigation ensued and he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on August 11th, 2022.

UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on July 23rd, 2022, and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged that on July 16th, 2022, the man threated to damage his ex-girlfriend’s residence. It is also alleged that on July 23rd, 2022, the man made another threat to damage his girlfriend’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on August 30th, 2022.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 76-year-old woman was arrested on July 23rd, 2022, and charged with criminal harassment. On July 23rd, 2022, police were contacted in regards to an ongoing neighbourhood dispute. Investigation revealed on July 22nd, 2022, the woman entered her neighbour’s property without their permission. The investigation also revealed that there had been numerous confrontations with the woman and her neighbours that she had initiated. The woman was warned on several occasions to discontinue interacting with her neighbour. As a result of the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on August 25th, 2022. Her name was not released as it could identify the victims in this matter.

 

BREACH OF PROBATION, THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Steven Coleman, 38, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 23rd, 2022, and charged with breach of probation and theft under $5000. It is alleged that on July 21st, 2022, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and to not attend a certain Second Street business. On this date, it is alleged the man attended the business he was prohibited from attending, selected merchandise, and left without attempting to pay for it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located on July 23rd, 2022, taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 6th, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Vraj Patel, 22, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 24th, 2022 on the strength of outstanding warrant. It is alleged that the man was scheduled to attend court on May 3rd, 2022, and failed to do so. A warrant was issued. On July 24th, 2022, the male was located by the Ontario Provincial Police and turned over to CPS. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 6th, 2022.
