MAN ARRESTED FOR 15 BREACH OFFENCES

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 7th, 2022 and charged with 15 counts of breach of release order. It is alleged between December 15, 2021 and January 7, 2022, the man contacted his ex-girlfriend, attended her residence, as well as failed to remain in his residence and reside at an approved residence, among other conditions. On January 7, 2022, police located the man and took him into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE, UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF A WEAPON, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Brian Colborne, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on January 8th, 2022 and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance, unauthorized possession of a weapon, as well as breach of prohibition order. It is alleged during a traffic stop during the early morning hours on January 8th, 2022, the man was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine, as well as a prohibited edged weapon. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 15th, 2022.

WARRANT, PERSONATION WITH INTENT TO AVOID ARREST, OBSTRUCT POLICE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 8th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant for breaching his probation order. He was also charged with personation with intent to avoid arrest, obstruct police and breach of probation for contacting his ex-girlfriend, being within a certain distance of her and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on January 8th, 2022, during a traffic stop, police located the man in the company of his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions. It is further alleged the man identified as someone else to police with intent to avoid arrest. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 29th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Ryan Migneault, 30, of Lunenburg was arrested on January 8th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on August 11th, 2021, the man failed to attend court for a fraud offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 8th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on March 15th, 2022.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Shavon Thomas, 40, of Akwesasne was arrested on January 9th, 2022 and charged with breach of undertaking for operating a motor vehicle. It is alleged while stopped at the Port of Entry on January 9th, the woman was observed to be operating a motor vehicle, despite the conditions of her undertaking. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 24th, 2022.

WARRANT, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – Roxanne Cook, 34, of Cornwall was arrested on January 9th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. She was also charged with possession of a Schedule I substance. It is alleged on December 8th, 2021, the woman failed to attend court for a theft offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On January 9th, 2022, police located the woman and took her into custody on the strength of the warrant, at which time she was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 9th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend, the man assaulted her and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 8th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 59-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 9th, 2022 and charged with three counts of breach of release order for contacting his common-law-wife, being within a certain distance of her, and attending her residence. It is alleged on January 9th, the man was located at his common-law-wife’s residence, despite his conditions, and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on January 10th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault and assault with a weapon. It is alleged during an altercation with his common-law-wife on November 22nd, 2021, the man assaulted her and struck her with a guitar. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 10th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
