FAIL TO COMPLY, DANGEROUS OPERATION

Cornwall, ON – Zachary Miller, 34, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 1, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order and one count of dangerous operation.

It is alleged on Oct. 1, 2024, the man was bound by two separate release orders with the relevant condition to not operate or have care or control of a motor vehicle.

On this date, police responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the area of Campbell Street and an investigation ensued. The man fled police, driving dangerously, and his vehicle was later located unoccupied after having been involved in a single vehicle motor collision.

A lengthy search for the individual ensued. He was later located by members of the CPS, taken into custody and charged accordingly.

The man was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Alfred, ON, man was arrested on Oct. 1, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged from Aug. 20, 2024, to Sept. 17, 2024, the man was bound by two separate release orders with the relevant condition to not contact or communicate with his ex-girlfriend. It is alleged from Aug. 20, 2024, to Sept. 17, 2024, the man sent messages to his ex-girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Oct. 1, 2024, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Andrea Bedard, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 1, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on June 27, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. It is also alleged on Sept. 24, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Oct. 1, 2024, the woman was taken into custody by members of the OPP and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Amanda Laplante, 41, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 1, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Oct. 1, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Dec. 12, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 1, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to not use the internet or other digital network. It is also alleged, the man was bound by a second probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. Furthermore, it is alleged, the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend via social media. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Oct. 1, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 5, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Keith Seyeau, 49, of Cornwall, was arrested on Oct. 2, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on April 2, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Oct. 2, 2024, the man was located by police, who were on general patrol. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Dec. 12, 2024.
