WARRANT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, RESIST POLICE

Cornwall, ON – Starr Hill, 32, of Akwesasne was arrested on December 17th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant for breaching her conditional sentence order. She was also charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and resist police. It is alleged on December 17th, 2022, the woman approached someone known to her and pointed a knife at the individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly and was held for a bail hearing.

THREATS, DANGEROUS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Shawn Audette-Gauthier, 30, of Mirabel, QC was arrested on December 17th, 2022 and charged with two counts of uttering threats, as well as dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 17th, 2022, the man was operating a motor vehicle in a dangerous manner in the area of Brookdale Avenue and Vincent Massey Drive. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man made two threats to harm an off-duty officer. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 18th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged between May and September, the man contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite having conditions to not communicate with her. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 18th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on January 10th, 2023. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
