WARRANT, SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jacob Benoit, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on November 30th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on November 1st, 2022, the man attended a Cornwall Square business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is further alleged the man failed to abide by the conditions of his probation order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 30th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, charged accordingly and was released to appear in court on January 26th, 2023.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Dante David, 24 of Akwesasne was arrested on November 30th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend for fingerprints on April 1st, 2022 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 30th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on January 12th, 2023.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Brittany Howard-Markell, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on November 30th, 2022 and charged with breach of release order for failing to remain in her residence at all times, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on November 30th, 2022, the woman was located outside of her residence, despite the conditions of her release order. During the investigation she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Douglas Bienkowski, 32, of Akwesasne was arrested on November 30th, 2022 and charged with breach of release order for failing to remain in his residence at all times and possessing a device with internet. It is alleged on November 30th, 2022, the man was located outside of his residence and in possession of a cell phone, despite his conditions. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
