SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – William King, 56, of Cornwall was arrested on November 22nd, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on November 22nd, 2022, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. He was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 29th, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Clarissa Square, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on November 22nd, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged between August and October 2022 the woman failed to comply with the conditions of her probation order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On November 22nd, 2022, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

POLICE TAKE THREE INDIVIDUALS INTO CUSTODY AFTER TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO SEIZURE OF DRUGS AND WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – On November 22nd, 2022, members of the Cornwall Police Service conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Walton Street and Louisa Street, at which time a quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl, as well as a BB gun and Canadian currency were located. The estimated approximate value of the seized drugs and currency is $4450.00. During the traffic stop, the following individuals were taken into custody and charged accordingly:

Guillaume Lamarche, 43:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

Megan Lafave, 31:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Breach of probation order (for failing to keep the peace)

Coty Casselman, 26:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance (Fentanyl)
  • Breach of probation order (for failing to keep the peace)

Megan Lafave and Guillaume Lamarche were released to appear in court on December 29th, 2022. Coty Casselman was held in custody to await a bail hearing as he was also taken into custody on the strength of a warrant for failing to attend court on October 6th, 2022.
